Captain Tony’s Saloon in Key West dates back to 1851 and has lived many lives — serving as the city morgue, a telegraph office, and even a bordello before becoming one of the most famous bars in the Florida Keys. The iconic tree growing through the building is rumored to have once been used for public hangings in the 1800s. Over the years, legendary visitors like Ernest Hemingway and Jimmy Buffett helped cement its reputation.
